24 of September 1991 was the day that Nevermind, one of the most sold albums to date was released. It was one of those days where the world would (after the release) would sing in the streets “here we are now, entertain us” and actually mean something. Where the latest in clothing was throwing on an old pair of jeans and a random shirt. (Which many, including me do.) and now 20 years on when most of the world listens to pop and nearly everyone dress’s in the latest clothes it has finally come, the special edition (deluxe edition) of Nevermind with many of other hits and songs live and now even bigger than that is the super deluxe edition of Nevermind with only 10,000 copies in North America and 30,000 worldwide and being rated five stars around the world. Forget the price if you’re a NIRVANA fan then this is a must buy.
I know that when I get that sort of money I will buy it. One of my favourite songs is Come As You Are. This song for me is special. It sort of says be who you are and don’t care what others say about you. In my life I’ve always tried not to care what others say or think and it’s been hard. After I heard this song it became easier.
Smells like teen spirit is a really famous song and is another one of my favourites. One of my close friends says what your favourite NIRVANA song I say this is and he just laughs. I cried when I saw Miley Cyrus’s Cover of this. She turned a Grunge song into a horrible ...thing!
Another of my favourites is Something In The Way. It’s a really sad cause it’s about Kurt Cobains child hood.

ReplyDeleteSo I know now that if you were able to be at any of their concerts you would have got alot out of their music. Just to watch and listen to any of their taped concerts or unplugged still gives me goose bumps. You should look them up sometime. Thanks for bringing these memories back to me.Oh and the comment on the jeans and shirt...they had to be grotty and ripped and your hair as unkept as possible....who could resist being fashionable like that??
